The area, also known as “The Post,” showcases 21 historic buildings built between 1900 and 1906 to form the heart of the original fort. Located within the circle are several little league-sized baseball fields, a large open field area, the newly restored historic gazebo, and the 6th Cavalry Museum. The museum focuses on the history of the fort and contains many wonderfully preserved items and pictures.
