Battleview Bed and Breakfast is conveniently located in Fort Oglethorpe, GA, steps from the Chickamauga National Battlefield and only 15 minutes from downtown Chattanooga. A historic home that once housed the 6th Cavalry band members, it is part of the Barnhardt Circle historic homes. The area, also known as “The Post,” showcases 21 historic buildings built between 1900 and 1906 to form the heart of the original fort. Located within the circle are several little league-sized baseball fields, a large open field area, the newly restored historic gazebo, and the 6th Cavalry Museum. The museum focuses on the history of the fort and contains many wonderfully preserved items and pictures.
Battleview Bed and Breakfast has been lovingly restored and hosts 3 guest suites, accommodating up to 8 guests. It features a guest living room with a gas fireplace, game cabinet, a desk for business or correspondence, and books, including fiction, biographical, and historical. Each guest suite has its own bathroom, television, and robes, and wifi is available throughout the house. In the dining area, coffee, tea, and hot chocolate are always available. There is a large covered front porch with rockers and bistro tables for enjoying a relaxing morning coffee or evening chat. A welcome snack plate with an assortment of cheeses, crackers, and a beverage is provided at check-in. Ample off-street parking is available behind the house.
